There are a lot of features and different types of masks available, and the choices can get confusing. Let's explore the key features of modern scuba masks that'll revolutionize your diving experience!

First off, let's talk lenses! Are you team single or dual lenses? Single lenses offer a panoramic view and reduce potential leaks, while dual lenses provide better peripheral vision and generally lower volume - low profile for easier mask equalization. Some mask also come with a side lens which let in more light and greater field of vision.

Now, let's get colorful! Clear or solid skirt? Clear skirts offer maximum visibility and brightness, while solid skirts reduce distractions and focus your attention on the wonders below. Black is a big favorite but many solid color masks come in a variety of colors. One drawback of the clear skirt is they can cloud or discolor over time. It doesn't impact the performance of the mask but just something to be aware of. Solid colors are often used by photographers to help focus on the camera and taking pictures.

Frame or frameless – the eternal dilemma! Frames offer stability and durability, perfect for rough conditions, while frameless masks provide a lightweight, low-profile design for ultimate comfort and freedom.

Some masks are equipped with a valve at the bottom of the nose pocket. This valve allows for water in the mask to be removed by exhalation only, no need to clear by tipping the head back and putting pressure on the top, then exhaling.
